Job brief

The Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA) is looking for a qualified and skilled IT Associate to manage and maintain the organization’s IT and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will ensure the stability, security, and efficiency of our IT systems, provide support to end-users, and implement best practices for IT management. This role also involves developing, implementing, and maintaining IT policies aligned with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.

Requirements and skills

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field
  • Candidates with equivalent qualifications through education and/or experience would be advantageous
  • Minimum 3-5 years of working experience in IT infrastructure management and support
  • Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Familiarity with network infrastructure and server management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with employees at all levels
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
  • Possess class 3 Brunei Driving License

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Manage, monitor and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure.
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of the organization ‘s network infrastructure.
  • Develop and administer comprehensive IT policies and regularly review and update policies.
  • Implement and monitor security and preventive measures, including data, systems and networks.
  • Manage the procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT hardware and software assets.
  • Support cloud-based services and infrastructure, ensuring integration with on-premises systems.
  • Maintain up-to-date documentation of network configurations, procedures, IT assets, and policies.
  • Provide technical support addressing IT-related issues and inquiries from end-users.
