Who are the BDFA?

The Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA) has the responsibility of ensuring that food is safe for consumption. This includes ensuring that all food premises, food handlers and other related food businesses in Brunei Darussalam shall comply with the relevant food safety legislations.

Food Handlers Certificate

As part of ensuring food safety in Brunei Darussalam, the BDFA requires all food handlers to undergo Basic Food Handlers Health Education Course and obtain a Food Handlers Certificate.

Food Import Registration System

Want to import food for sale? Before you can import into Brunei Darussalam, the safety of the food product must first be assessed by the BDFA by Registering the food in the Online Food Import Registration System.
