Job brief

The Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA) is looking to fill for the role of Administrative Executive (Secretary) to provide administrative support for department, and the Executive Team and manages BDFA’s office operations. This position requires discretion, excellent communication skills, and the ability to anticipate the needs of the department with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.

Requirements and skills

  • Minimum A level or Diploma
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office tools.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and effectively.
  • A positive and professional attitude with a strong sense of responsibility.

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  1. Administrative Support
  • Manage the head of department’s calendar, including scheduling appointments, meetings, and events.
  • Assist with the reservation of meeting rooms and other meeting arrangements, as required by the department.
  • Collect and organize correspondence for the department.
  • Assist with coordination of events organized by the department e.g. sending out invitations.
  1. Communication
  • Serve as the first point of contact for the department, handling phone calls, correspondence and other inquiries.
  • Draft emails, memos, and other communications on behalf of the department.
  • Ensure all interactions with the department reflect a high level of professionalism.
  1. Confidentiality & Discretion
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with integrity.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
