This is required by Regulation 23 of the Public Health (Food) Regulations, (R1 Chapter 182).\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Artificial sweetening substances are chemical compounds used for the purpose of sweetening food but does not include sugar or other carbohydrate or polyhydric alcohols.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Application for such a license can be made via a written request to the BDFA. \u00a0 The annual fee for such a license is BND100. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-has-icon fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"align-self: center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;width:100%;\"><div class=\"fusion-separator-border sep-single sep-solid\" style=\"border-color:#018ea1;border-top-width:3px;\"><\/div><span class=\"icon-wrapper\" style=\"border-color:transparent;font-size:16px;width: 1.75em; height: 1.75em;border-width:3px;padding:3px;margin-top:-1.5px\"><i class=\"fa-certificate fas\" style=\"font-size: inherit;color:#fc4a1a;\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><div class=\"fusion-separator-border sep-single sep-solid\" style=\"border-color:#018ea1;border-top-width:3px;\"><\/div><\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-5\"><h4><b>Irradiated Food License<\/b><\/h4>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-text fusion-text-6\"><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Importers of food or food products that have undergone irradiation during processing, or contains any irradiated ingredients, must apply for an Irradiated Food License prior to the importation of their consignment.\u00a0 Irradiated food is defined as food that has been exposed to ionizing radiation during processing for various purposes, including preservation, increase shelf life etc.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The importation or sale of irradiated food is prohibited unless the importer has a valid Irradiated Food License as required under Regulation 44 of the Public Health (Food) Regulations, (R1 Chapter 182).\u00a0 The license will expire once the amount stated in the license\u00a0 has been imported, or 6 months after the date of issue, whichever is earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Application for such a license can be made via a written request to the BDFA. \u00a0 <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">No fees will be levied for the issue of such a license.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div><div class=\"fusion-separator fusion-has-icon fusion-full-width-sep\" style=\"align-self: center;margin-left: auto;margin-right: auto;width:100%;\"><div class=\"fusion-separator-border sep-single sep-solid\" style=\"border-color:#018ea1;border-top-width:3px;\"><\/div><span class=\"icon-wrapper\" style=\"border-color:transparent;font-size:16px;width: 1.75em;
