The Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA) is looking for a dedicated individual to join the team as Branch Manager. The role requires a committed person with strong leadership qualities, team management skills, and the ability to communicate effectively. Requirements and skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant field.
- Has working knowledge of Brunei’s laws particularly food legislation.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in relevant field.
- Can work independently and in a team.
- Excellent leadership, analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to work in collaboration with relevant agencies and stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Responsibilities, but not limited to:
- Manage and supervise branch’s operations and food safety activities including food safety inspections, surveillance and enforcement and risk management.
- Oversee investigation of non-compliance issues or complaints related to food safety and developing recommendations.
- Develop, implement, and review relevant checklist/guidelines/standard operating procedures/ policies.
- Generate, collect and collate relevant data and prepare and submit regulatory reports accurately and on time.
- Act as primary liaison officer with relevant agencies on matters related to food safety including joint enforcement operations.
- Develop and implement capacity building activities related to branch operations and food safety activities.
- Responsible for strategic and administrative oversight of the branch including finance, human resource matters and general administration, to ensure effective operations and adherence to corporate policies and procedures.
- Undertake other related tasks as directed by Head of Department as and when necessary.
