The Brunei Darussalam Food Authority (BDFA) is looking for a qualified and experienced Corporate Relations Manager to lead our communication strategies and initiatives. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and executing comprehensive communication plans that enhance organizational visibility, reputation, and engagement. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent leadership skills, capable of managing a team and collaborating with various departments to ensure consistent and effective messaging. The Corporate Relations Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of communication, including public relations, social media, content creation, and internal communication.

Requirements and skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Marketing, Languages or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in media relations or a related role.
  • Proven track record in developing and executing successful communication strategies.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think strategically and creatively.
  • Experience with social media management and strategy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Proficiency in using communication and marketing tools and software.
  • Experience in crisis communication and reputation management.
  • Knowledge of the latest communication trends and technologies.
  • Experience in managing budgets and financial planning.
  • Experience in public relations and media relations.
  • Strong presentation and public speaking skill

Responsibilities, but not limited to:

  • Develop and implement comprehensive communication strategies.
  • Oversee all public relations activities and manage media relations.
  • Manage and mentor a team of communication professionals.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure consistent messaging.
  • Coordinate and manage events and campaigns.
  • Manage BDFA’s social media presence and strategy.
  • Handle crisis communication and manage organizational reputation.
  • Prepare and manage communication budget.
  • Provide regular reports on communication activities and outcomes.
  • Oversee the production of marketing material and collateral.
  • Manage external agencies and vendors
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
